Therefore, with appropriate construction technology, sufficient strength and quench resistance can be obtained.
3. Good chemical stability
Except strong alkali, hydrofluoric acid and phosphoric acid, it is hardly eroded by other chemicals. Aluminum silicate fiber has excellent chemical stability in oxidizing and neutral atmosphere. The chemical stability to reducing atmosphere, alkali metal oxides and sulfides is relatively poor, and crystallization is easy to occur, which degrades the properties of the fiber. The chemical stability of aluminum silicate fiber mainly depends on its chemical composition and impurity content. The chemical stability of pure Al2O3 Fiber is the best, while SiO2 has little effect on the chemical stability when it fluctuates in the range of 50% ~ 60%.
4. Good high temperature resistance
According to the variety of raw materials, aluminum silicate fiber can be divided into three types according to the maximum service temperature: low temperature type (below 1000 ℃), standard type (below 1200 ℃) and high temperature type (1200 ~ 1400 ℃), which is much higher than the maximum service temperature (500 ~ 700 ℃) of fibrous thermal insulation materials such as rock wool and glass wool.
5. Low thermal conductivity
Aluminum silicate fiber has very small thermal conductivity in high temperature area and has excellent thermal insulation effect. At 1000 ℃, its thermal conductivity is only 15% of that of refractory clay brick and about 38% of that of light clay brick, but its thermal conductivity is closely related to temperature, bulk density, slag ball content and fiber diameter. The thermal conductivity of aluminum silicate fiber decreases with the increase of bulk density, but the decreasing range gradually decreases. Even when the bulk density exceeds a certain range, the thermal conductivity no longer decreases and tends to increase.
